The Winey Mum
Story
I've joined the Willunga Wanderers to walk 30 miles from Willunga to the Hutt Street Centre in Adelaide on Friday 31 July.
Am I mad? Probably slightly. But the fact I'm (relatively) fit, my legs work, and have nothing already in my diary that day means that I've got no excuse. We live such a good life down here in McLaren Vale and I feel very lucky to get up every morning and do what I do. Raising a little cash for services which support those in trickier situations as well as raising awareness of homelessness in South Australia is the least I can do.
Please throw in a few coins to motivate me and the rest of the Willunga Wanderers.
Even better, if you're local to McLaren Vale, register yourself or your own team to rock up on the morning of Friday 31 July and join one of the walks - the 4 mile one from Willunga to McLaren Vale or the 1 mile walk in McLaren Vale.
I want to see heaps of Winey Kids and their families/schools walking a mile in the boots of the 6000 people who are homeless each year in South Australia.
